Descripción: It is located 135 km from Nueva Gerona (Isla de la Juventud), 125 km from Cienfuegos, 177 km from Havana City and 177 km from Varadero.

Vilo Acuña International Airport operates large aircraft as it complies with the security measures of the Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO); and aid to radio navigation.

It has a control tower, and also has instruments that provide information on the direction and intensity of the wind, field temperature, relative humidity and dew point (BAISALA), whose data is recorded by the meteorology department (AISMET), located in the terminal building.

It has the capacity to serve 300 passengers per hour.

It receives international flights from Frankfurt (Germany), Montreal and Toronto (Canada), Milan (Italy); it also receives national flights from Havana, Varadero, Cienfuegos, Pinar del Río, Santiago de Cuba, Trinidad and the Isla de la Juventud.

Taxi:

Los taxis están disponibles frente a la zona de arribos. Pueden ser autos, jeeps, combis (vans) o autobuses. Si ya tiene reservado su transfer, asegúrese de ingresar en el bus que contrató y no en los taxi-bus. Un taxi del aeropuerto a la zona hotelera lleva unos 10 minutos y cuesta entre 5 y 6 CUC. Se recomienda acordar previamente la tarifa con el taxista.

Autobuses expresos:

La mayoría de los turistas que llegan a Cayo Largo, ya van con sus transfers contratados. Si ese es su caso, cuando salga de la terminal será recibido por un representante del operador turístico quien le indicará cual es el bus que lo lleva a su hotel.
